Calvary’s Outreach Department is active in taking the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the pews to the people of our community. Led by Outreach Minister, Terry Oxner, this department is instrumental in providing such services as home bible-studies, “Calvary’s Promise” (food for the needy), out-door children’s crusades, in-home visitation, as well as a “Foster Family” program for new members. At Calvary, music is an integral part of each and every service. All throughout scripture, you can find references where God’s people were compelled to worship and sing praises unto the Lord. Luke 19:40 says, “…if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out!” Under the direction of Racheal Haynes, our Adult Praise Team, Sanctuary Choir, Youth Choir, and Children’s Choir are featured on a regular basis. Driven by a vision to impact every student on our university campuses, Calvary’s College Ministry (C-4) endeavors to reach students with practical and purposeful insight. From the issues of balancing education and consecration, to dealing with the tough choices that college life can bring, C-4 provides a positive outlet for meeting other Christian young people going through the same challenges of campus life. It is our goal at Calvary to “Bring Kids Closer to Christ”! We are reaching children with the good-news of Jesus while teaching and instructing them with personal examples of loving and serving God daily. Our purpose is to help establish children with Godly character and teach them principles of J.O.Y (Jesus-Others-and You). Our staff considers it both an honor and a privilege to be able to minister to the next generation! Kidz Praiz meets on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. for an extreme children’s praise service. Each session includes crazy praise worship songs and audio/video instruction, along with puppets and costumed characters that help point our kids to Christ. On Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m., Kids Jam meets for classes, which are targeted for all ages. We would love for your children to join us as our staff endeavors to “Bring Kids Closer to Christ”! One of the most powerful ministries at Calvary involves women. Soon after you visit Calvary, you will recognize the warm and inviting environment, which is a reflection of our First-Lady and Pastor’s wife, Debbie Hudson. You will find the women of our assembly to be kind, confident, and simply radiant with the love of Christ. We offer quality women’s events throughout the year. Mary & Martha Ministries also meets in intimate friendship groups to share, pray, and help empower one another. Our highlight events include: Texas Women’s Conference (April), Calvary’s Salute to Women (May), and various social events (Tea Parties, Fashion Shows, and Banquets). Mary & Martha Ministries is a great place to find friends, food, and fellowship with great women of faith!
Calvary’s Men’s Ministry is a time of enriching friendships along with establishing a greater walk with God. Lazarus Ministries is focused on efforts to unite our men in aspects of faith, leadership, friendship, and relationship with Christ. This ministry meets throughout the year with special functions including: Men’s Prayer Breakfast, Camping Excursions, and Texas Men’s Conference. Other various activities compel men to full-fill the commission of Jesus when he said, “I will make you fishers of MEN.” It is true…great men beget other great men! At Lazarus Men’s Ministries you will find great men endeavoring to build strong relationships with one another while strengthening their commitment to God.
More Than Conquers is a ministry focused on providing activities and services that appeal to the nature of active adults. Special events include: concerts, dinners, and other socials throughout the calendar year.
